1. Data controller
The controller is Dati del titolare da compilare, address for privacy communications: Indirizzo da compilare; email: info@tempodipaese.it.
2. Data processed and purposes
When you browse the website, technical systems may process IP addresses, request time, browser, visited pages and connection data to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website. The applicable legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating and securing the website, where appropriate.
If you contact us via email, phone or WhatsApp, we process the details you provide (such as name, contact details and message) to respond to enquiries about Casa dei Papi and take pre-contractual steps at your request. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics 4 to measure website usage (including page views and interactions). Consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
3. Third-party services
Google Analytics 4 (Google) loads only after consent through the banner. See Google's privacy policy.
Typography: Cormorant Garamond and Manrope are intended to be self-hosted on this website, without connections to Google Fonts.
OpenStreetMap: the interactive map loads map resources from OpenStreetMap, potentially transmitting technical data. See the OSM Foundation privacy policy.
Leaflet/CDN: the map library loads from an external CDN (unpkg.com), which may also receive technical connection data.
External links, including WhatsApp, Google Maps and tourism services, lead to third-party websites governed by their own privacy notices.
4. Recipients and international transfers
The website is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., appointed as a Data Processor under Article 28 GDPR through the hosting contractual terms. According to Aruba’s written reply, personal data processed as part of its hosting service is not transferred outside the European Union and cannot be accessed by parties located outside the EU. This statement concerns Aruba’s hosting service only, not the website’s other third-party services. Map resources are requested from OpenStreetMap, and the Leaflet library is loaded from unpkg.com: these providers may receive technical data, including IP addresses, when the resources are requested. Only if consent is given, Google Analytics may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, subject to safeguards stated by Google, including the Data Privacy Framework and applicable contractual safeguards. When you choose to open links to WhatsApp, Airbnb, Booking.com, Google, Facebook, Instagram or other websites, their own privacy notices also apply.
5. Retention
Website access logs (which may include IP addresses, dates and times, requested resources and technical connection details) and any error logs are processed by Aruba for technical operations, security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. They are kept for no longer than 6 months, according to a retention period set by Aruba that cannot be directly changed by customers on shared hosting. Email, phone and WhatsApp enquiries are ordinarily kept for 12 months after the enquiry is closed, except where bookings, legal obligations or possible disputes justify different retention. Google Analytics event and user data is described as being retained for 2 months; this must match the actual GA4 property settings. Aggregated reporting data may be subject to different retention rules.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact the email listed above. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
External links and contact channels
The “Check availability” button opens WhatsApp (the app or WhatsApp Web) through a wa.me link containing a pre-filled enquiry. The message is prepared but will only be sent if you decide to send it. When WhatsApp opens, its provider (Meta/WhatsApp) processes data under its own privacy notice. If you contact us, we process your telephone number, enquiry and any details you provide to reply and take any pre-contractual steps you request. See the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
The footer provides links to the accommodation's Google Maps / Google Business Profile listing and to Instagram and Facebook pages. These are ordinary external links, not embedded social widgets. Clicking them can take you to platforms governed by their own privacy practices. See Google's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy for Facebook and Instagram.
The mailto: link opens the email application configured on your device, and the tel: link opens its calling function when supported. Opening a link does not itself mean that an email has been sent or a call placed. Any communication is handled by your chosen email or telephone provider; we process information you choose to share with us in order to reply.
These links do not, by themselves, set tracking cookies through this website. The destination services may use cookies or other technologies when opened.
Bookings via Airbnb and Booking.com and other external websites
The website may provide links to accommodation listings or booking pages on Airbnb and Booking.com. Clicking a link takes you to an external platform: browsing, signing in, availability requests, bookings and payments are governed by the chosen platform’s own terms and privacy notice. This website does not automatically collect payment data through these links. If you book, the accommodation host may receive the information needed to manage your reservation through the platform, subject to the relevant privacy roles and applicable law. See Airbnb’s privacy information and Booking.com’s privacy notice.
The “Surroundings and destinations” section includes links to independent websites about local places, museums, parks, walking routes, attractions and operators. When you follow one of these links, you leave Tempo di Paese; the destination website may process browsing data and use cookies under its own privacy notice. A simple hyperlink does not, by itself, mean personal information has already been shared with the destination.
